Scottish Rubbish

Don’t worry this isn’t a rabid rant about Burns or a complaint about haggis – just disappointment in my fellow man about the way they treat the planet.

On a recent paddling trip to Scotland we found the perfect campsite…unfortunately so had someone else before us, leaving crushed cans, plastic and scorched earth in their wake.  WHY?  It was the middle of nowhere – only accessible to canoeists and hardy walkers, what is the point in ruining it for others.

I recognise there are global warming and climate change sceptics, I recognise that not everyone is a believer.   But surely we can all agree on the need to respect nature and beauty, leaving as little trace as possible.
