New business kick starts 2012 at LSO St Luke’s

City venue continues to grow in popularity.

LSO St Luke’s had a bumper start to the New Year with seven events being confirmed in the first week of January. The bookings encompass a variety of events including a filming session, a recording, a lecture, a dinner dance, an exhibition, rehearsals and two conferences.

Victoria Steinitz, sales and events manager at LSO St Luke’s, says: “The New Year has started very well for LSO St Luke’s. We’re delighted with the number of new bookings we’ve already taken. The diversity of events highlights the flexibility of the Jerwood Hall. Our spaces can be used for a variety of events and can be set up to suit a client’s requirements. Winning new business like this is increasing our occupancy levels, and we’re positive that our success will continue throughout the year.”

LSO St Luke’s is one of London’s most unusual venues, an 18th century Grade 1 listed Hawksmoor church. As the home of the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO), it is usually associated with musical performances and the LSO’s music education and community programme. However it is becoming known as an events space with style and sophistication, and with a capacity of 450 people it is growing in popularity as a venue for corporate events.
