Church House recognised as one of the UK’s top event venues

Church House Conference Centre has been voted one of the UK’s top event venues. Entering at Number 3, it is the highest new entry in Event magazine’s Top 20 Venues Awards, which is voted for by readers.

More than 400 venues were nominated and entries were assessed on a range of factors including location, facilities, value and service, number of events held, best event, revenue and plans for 2012, before a final 30 were put forward and voted upon by the Event Magazine readership.

Robin Parker, general manager at Church House Conference Centre, says: “What a fantastic result!  For a venue of our size to be recognised as one of the country’s leading venues, only behind the 02 and Excel, sparked a huge celebration here and is recognition of the whole team’s dedication and hard work.  2011 has been challenging but we have continued to offer value for money without compromising on our first class service levels. We’ve made significant investment this year, including the installation of an improved Wi-Fi network, in order to enhance the visitor experience. Church House is growing in popularity because it is ideally located in Westminster and we have the facilities to cater for a wide range of events. While 2011 has proven to be a difficult year we’re looking forward the many exciting events being held in 2012.”

Church House Conference Centre, a Grade II listed building, was opened to the public as an events venue in 1990 and celebrates its 21st birthday this week, making this accolade even more special to all those involved in the venue. With 19 spacious and diverse rooms, which can accommodate AGMs, conferences, board meetings, gala dinners, product launches, cocktail receptions and awards ceremonies, Church House is one of the city’s most versatile venues.
