SITE opens registration for Global Conference 2027 in Vancouver
“Where Currents Meet” will bring the global incentive travel community together, building on a successful year of research, education and connection for the SITE community
The Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) has opened registration for SITE Global Conference 2027, taking place in Vancouver, Canada, from 1–4 March. Under the theme “Where Currents Meet”, the conference will explore how people, technology and place are shaping the future of incentive travel.
The announcement follows a successful IMEX America and a year that has combined new industry research, investment in professional development and celebrations marking 20 years of SITE Young Leaders. Vancouver will provide the next opportunity to bring the global incentive community together for learning, business connections and destination discovery.
Returning to the city seven years after its last Vancouver gathering, SITE will examine the changing expectations of incentive participants, the influence of AI and data, and the growing importance of sustainability, wellbeing, culture and community in programme design.
Rebecca Wright, Interim CEO of SITE, said: “There was tremendous energy around SITE at IMEX America, from the conversations prompted by our research to the relationships strengthened throughout the week. Opening registration for Vancouver gives our community something exciting to build towards, with time to explore the issues affecting their businesses and learn from colleagues facing similar decisions around the world.
“Global Conference brings together people who understand the value of incentive travel and want to make it better. We want delegates to leave Vancouver with practical ideas, stronger relationships and a fresh perspective on what they can achieve.”
The conference programme combines general sessions with 60-minute immersive workshops and shorter, focused education sessions. Opportunities to connect include a Partner Marketplace, a dedicated first-time attendee experience and a Young Leaders event.
Delegates will also experience Vancouver through a welcome reception and dinner at the Vancouver Convention Centre, the SITE Awards Gala at The Westin Bayshore and a farewell evening at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. Destination activities currently planned include Grouse Mountain, forest bathing in Stanley Park and a scavenger hunt at Granville Island.
These experiences will complement the conference’s exploration of place, allowing delegates to consider how local culture, natural surroundings and shared experiences contribute to an incentive programme.
The registration launch builds on a busy year for SITE. At IMEX America, the association and the Incentive Research Foundation launched the 2026 Incentive Travel Index, produced with Oxford Economics, while the Young Leaders Conference and anniversary celebrations recognised two decades of supporting emerging talent. SITE NITE North America brought 1,500 industry professionals together for an evening of networking and celebration.
Earlier in the year, SITE Classic in Puerto Rico raised more than US$276,000 through its auctions to support SITE Foundation’s work. The event also marked the launch of the Foundation’s latest Impact Report, demonstrating how investment supports research, scholarships and professional development across the industry.
Hasan Dinç, President of SITE, added: "This year showed what the SITE community is made of. Our members, partners and volunteers shared their knowledge, backed the next generation and invested in the future of our industry. Vancouver carries that spirit into 2027, a place to build relationships, challenge how we think and see incentive travel through the eyes of a remarkable host destination."
