Flightlink Executive Travel achieves international quality management standard with Certification In

Flightlink Executive Travel has gained certification to the internationally recognised Quality Management Standard (QMS) – ISO 9001:2008. The certification was awarded by Certification International.

Achieving the standard makes Flightlink, which has its head office in Swindon and operates a fleet of 22 E Class Mercedes Benz, one of the first dedicated chauffeur companies in the South West to achieve the standard.

Mike McCartney, Managing Director of Flightlink, comments: “We are continuously looking at ways we can differentiate ourselves from the competition. Achieving the quality management standard ISO 9001:2008 is one of the ways we felt we could do this. By implementing a rigorous quality management system we have a much better operational system which allows us to improve the service we offer clients.

As part of achieving ISO 9001 we invested in a state of the art office system and this helps us monitor quality and reduce any potential for error. The journey to certification has been a steady one – we took time to make sure we got it right. We had a top down approach and all our staff have bought into the quality management system. Certification International was very helpful as we went through the certification journey, and gave us the support we needed. We wanted to work with a certification company which was local to us as it’s important to build these relationships. I believe if you drive quality you will be successful at what you do, and I believe this certification will help us build a reputation as a leader in our sector.”

Certification International’s UK Business Manager Emma Fawcett-Jones comments: “As a leader in our own field we are delighted to help Flightlink become a leader in its sector. They are now one of the first companies in executive travel to have achieved this important international certification. By demonstrating its commitment to improving its quality management systems, Flightlink are already seeing significant benefits throughout its operation.”

Certification International is a UKAS accredited organisation with more than 5,000 clients in 26 countries. It provides assessment, analysis and certification services to companies of all sizes across a variety of standards.
