The London Transport Museum has launched a Children’s Afternoon Tea, taking place from March 24th 2016.
Operated by Searcys, the London Transport Museum’s Upper Deck Café will host Afternoon Tea sessions for children whilst they enjoy the quirky surroundings of the museum.
The Children’s afternoon tea includes classic sandwiches (shaped not-so classically!), scones, fancies and cakes, with a cup of child friendly tea or hot chocolate and will follow a visit to the world-famous and iconic Transport Museum with lots of interactive activities for the little ones to do. The afternoon treat should keep them going until bedtime, and gives parents the opportunity to relax with a coffee (or glass of wine) and a cake of their choice.
“We are very excited about the addition of the Children’s Afternoon Tea to the current food and drink offering here,” said Sharon Geohegan, General Manager at the London Transport Museum. “Easter is a time to share and create memories with family and the London Transport Museum has been an ideal place to do that for many years. The introduction of the Afternoon Tea will give visiting children lots to be excited about whilst mum and dad can take time to relax after experiencing the museum and it’s many fascinating stories. If it is successful then this is very much something we want to continue in the long term moving forward.”
The Children’s Afternoon Tea will be served between 2pm and 6pm with the menu highlights including homemade savoury and sweet scones and blueberry fancies. To secure a booking at the Upper Deck Café for a Children’s Afternoon Tea, please email gary.wilson@searcys.co.uk.
