The 2024 event will take place from the 23rd to the 25th of September 2024, utilising the Barbican Hall and Foyers, Cinema One, Auditorium One and Two, as well as the versatile Frobisher rooms. With an estimated 1,200+ delegates expected to attend, the Barbican is poised to become the convener of ground-breaking discussions on tall buildings and urban development.

The CTBUH 2024 International Conference is a globally renowned gathering of architects, engineers, urban planners, developers, and industry experts who are passionate about shaping the future of cities. This premier event is known for its rich exchange of ideas, showcasing innovative designs, and exploring sustainable urban solutions.

The Barbican was selected as the host venue due to its exceptional architectural heritage and its prime location within the City of London. The venue's unique design and cultural significance aligns perfectly with the mission of CTBUH, making it an ideal setting for the conference.

Jackie Boughton, Head of Events at the Barbican, said: "We are honoured to be chosen as the venue for the CTBUH 2024 International Conference. As a creative catalyst the Barbican is not only a place to experience the most exciting art from around the world, but also a hub that creates connections, provokes debate, and a convener of critical business thinking. This is why the Barbican will provide the perfect central London location for delegates to engage in insightful discussions about the future of our cities. We look forward to working closely with CTBUH to ensure this conference is a resounding success."

The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat shared their enthusiasm for the upcoming events location: " CTBUH is thrilled to partner with the Barbican for our 2024 International Conference," remarked CTBUH CEO Javier Quintana de Uña.
