Cirencester-based Soaring Worldwide bagged a Bronze award at the recent Meeting Industry Marketing Awards (MIMA) for ‘Best Social Media Campaign’.
The local strategic communications and PR agency attended the event at the QEII Centre in Westminster, London and were rewarded with bronze for a year-long campaign for The Meetings Show 2015.
“This is the first social media award we have won so it was a proud moment for us all,” comments Adam Baggs, Creative Director at Soaring Worldwide. “Social media is an integral part of modern PR and marketing so to be recognised with an national award for our campaign was a big achievement. We were up against some big names within the industry such as Croke Park and TFI Group so we are very happy to have brought the award back to the office!”
Soaring Worldwide was also shortlisted for another award at the UK Social Media Communication Awards last week at the Emirates Stadium. Whilst Soaring Worldwide didn’t pick up an award, the shortlisting at such a high profile event has offered the business a real boost.
“We attended the UK Social Media Communication award with The Meetings Show and it was a great night,” Adam continued. “It’s perhaps a cliché but for a company of our size to be recognised amongst the likes of Sky News, Virgin and Paddy Power is a real honour for us and a great experience.”
Aside from recent award success, Soaring Worldwide’s Senior Account Manager Sarah Carless is up for a Caribbean Journalism Award. The award, created by the Caribbean Tourism Organisation, recognises and awards prizes for the past year’s best travel journalism about the Caribbean region. The winner will be announced at World Travel Market next month at ExCeL London.
Soaring Worldwide is a Cirencester-based strategic communications and PR agency which specialises in the security and events industry with key clients including the Barbican, Church House Conference Centre, Grass Roots Meetings & Events and Magenta Security.
