Searcys, the diverse group of iconic establishments throughout London, and the rest of the UK, has added the National Army Museum in Chelsea to its growing collection of venues. Searcy’s will be showcasing its innovative and contemporary approach to catering at The Café, which is open to the public, coupled with providing events management services for business meetings and other special occasions.
Colin Gray, Operations Director for Searcys, said: “The National Army Museum, based in the heart of Chelsea, boasts state-of-the-art galleries, learning and research facilities. The venue has recently undergone a major redevelopment to create an inspiring space that connects people with the British Army.” He went on to say; “The galleries will tell stories of our army, its soldiers and its legacy – as you can imagine, we are hugely proud to be part of that. In true Searcys style, our menus will be based on ‘British classics’ with a contemporary twist where all of the food served will be inspired by British culture and the history of the British Army.”
The Café at the National Army Museum, which has been designed with day visitors in mind, can accommodate up to 140 people. Freshness is vitally important and so food will be prepared in the on-site kitchen using local ingredients and produce sourced from sustainable suppliers. Cakes, pastries and tray bakes will be made on site and displayed on the Chef’s Table, and will be available in the morning along with other healthy snacks. Sandwiches with a choice of fillings, pies, sausage rolls, fresh salads and daily specials will also be available for visitors to the museum.
The venue will feature several unique and flexible event spaces available for bookings. From the second-floor Boardroom, with exceptional views over the Royal Hospital, to the spectacular new Atrium at the centre of the Museum.
Event enquiries can be taken from the National Army Museum or via Searcys central sales team on 0207 7101 0220 or events@searcys.co.uk. The central sales team use their extensive venue knowledge to provide buyers with a one-stop-shop service for the sourcing and booking of venues across the Searcys’ portfolio.
