More than 80 learning and personal development opportunities sit at heart of The Meetings Show

From the current state of the industry and the impact of Brexit through to best practice, negotiation and engagement, The Meetings Show is once again focused on delivering learning and development content relevant to the many different types of meetings professionals attending the show.

Education streams for 2017 will include Technology, Marketing & Branding, Meeting Design, Healthcare and Leadership & Management as well as dedicated content for PAs in addition to Agency and Association days.

Just two of the experts delivering content include:

  1. David Taylor, Managing Director of Grass Roots Meetings & Events, will be revealing insight and content from the agency’s latest Meetings Industry report, which offers a unique opportunity to gain knowledge on the latest industry trends across strategic meetings management and delegate registration.

  2. Steen Moeller Christensen from Open The World will help attendees better understand effective presentation and speaking techniques through a focus on ways to creatively sell an idea using psychology and preparation – whether it be to a client, colleague, boss or even in personal relationships.

Intimate Meet The Expert campfire sessions will take place across the three days of the show, delivering focused advice and information in an informal setting.

Rounding off the education programme will be a series of Destination Showcases highlighting the capabilities and unique offering presented by a variety of key cities and countries from around the world, providing attendees with much needed updates as well as creative ideas for future events.

“Once again, we are looking to deliver a programme that responds to the needs of our varied audience through a host of international subject matter experts,” comments Steve Knight, Event Director of The Meetings Show.  “With more than 80 sessions we are focusing on those streams most relevant to our audience, whilst delivering bespoke content for association and agency attendees in the form of day-long conference programmes.”

This year’s programme builds on the quality of previous speakers from the industry, whilst working closely with partners like Speakers’ Corner who are delivering experts into the Leadership & Management stream.

Knight concludes: “The content is once again a true reflection of what the industry needs, what visitors have asked for and the creative and ground breaking thought leadership the industry has come to expect from the UK’s leading show for meetings professionals.”

Organised by Centaur Live (a division of Centaur Media Plc), The Meetings Show is the premier event for the UK inbound and outbound meetings industry, taking place 13-15 June, 2017 at Olympia, London.  Organised by meeting professionals for meeting professionals it is focused around a large exhibition, networking opportunities and professional education.
