Magenta to lead security industry charity

Magenta Security Services Managing Director is calling for the industry to get behind an industry wide charity to support humanitarian projects.

Abbey Petkar has long been an advocate of supporting charitable causes both in the UK and around the world. Magenta has played an active role in its local community, sponsoring local sports teams and working with the Metropolitan Police on projects in schools. It has also supported WaterWorld projects in Africa, provided funding for a blind school in India and financed the education and welfare of children for the next ten years in other third world countries.

The aim of the industry-wide charity would be to continue this good work and support event more worthwhile groups and causes.

Abbey comments: “Business is not just about being successful but also about giving something back in the hope it makes a better society for all of us to live in. By supporting charitable causes we can all make a difference, not just in the UK but in developing countries such as India and Africa. We have been looking at ways in which we can increase the amount of charitable work we do, and the creation of a security industry charity will help us achieve that. Although in the very early stages of planning we hope that other security companies will join us in providing funding for causes which improve the way people live.”

Magenta Security has its head office in Hounslow, with operations in Swindon, Birmingham, Manchester and Kent. For more information call 0800 7723786 or visit www.magentasecurity.co.uk.
