Gloucester Rugby gains support of six MPs to host hundreds at job fair on 11 September

Working with local politicians and the government to ensure a COVID-19 secure environment, Gloucester Rugby will host hundreds of job seekers on 11 September for the Gloucestershire Jobs, Skills & Apprenticeships Liftoff 2020 event. Keynote speakers include Minister for Employment, Mims Davies MP and Apprenticeship and Skills Minister, Gillian Keegan MP.

“COVID-19 secure measures include not just track and trace, temperature checking, masks and sanitiser stands, but a limit on the number of people allowed in the stadium at any one time as well as a one way system through the venue and use of outside space,” comments Angela Sanders, Head of venue Sales, Gloucester Rugby. “Pulling this event together has been a significant challenge for us as a venue to ensure both safety of attendees and the meeting of government guidelines. We have been particularly lucky to have the support of several MPs from the region as well as the local councils – ensuring we stay within the rules as well as best-practice.”

In addition to the keynotes, a full programme of skills and advice sessions will run throughout the day, live streamed across the event website.

The event is being co-hosted by Richard Graham, MP for Gloucester and Gloucester Rugby.
