Barbican to take party-goers down the rabbit hole to a Winter Wonderland this Christmas

The Barbican is encouraging party-goers not to be late for its unique ‘Alice in Wonderland’ themed Christmas event package in the Conservatory this festive season.

Guests will stumble down the rabbit hole this Christmas into a mysterious world where tropical plants thrive even in the depths of Winter and giant fish swim through tranquil ponds. The event is suitable for groups of 150 to 650 and you would need to be as mad as the Mad Hatter himself not to join the fun this Christmas.

Two packages are available for Christmas in the Conservatory this year with a standing reception available as well as a dinner and dance. Both packages include room hire between 5.30pm and midnight and cost from £89+VAT per person.

These packages, and more, will be promoted at the upcoming London Christmas Party Show taking place at 8 Northumberland Avenue on 4-5 May. The Barbican is also holding a business card drop competition at the event to win a Cheshire Cat as well as a challenge to find the best ‘Alice’ pose with props included. The winner of that competition, selected by the Barbican team, will be treated to afternoon tea in the stunning surroundings of the Conservatory.

“Christmas in the Conservatory is always magical but this time it truly will be a wonderland,” comments Oliver Hargreaves, Deputy Head of Sale at the Barbican. “The Conservatory is one of the city’s best kept secrets but, with an extra dose of madness this Christmas, it’s going to be sensational for guests. We expect there to be a lot of interest so we encourage party-goers not to be late for this very important date!”

The Barbican is also exhibiting at The Meetings Show (14-16 June) on stand I500.
