Antwerp is preparing to welcome around 400 dental professionals and researchers for Digital Dentistry Unlocked, the Digital Dentistry Society’s State of the Art Conference, at Hilton Antwerp Old Town on 16 and 17 October 2026. A day of workshops and society meetings will begin the programme on 15 October.

The annual conference brings together an international community to examine how digital technology is changing dental care. This year’s programme covers AI-based imaging, digital orthodontics and endodontics, clinical 3D printing and bioprinting, with speakers exploring both the possibilities and the practical limits of these approaches.

The Digital Dentistry Society has more than 1,000 active members across 70 countries. Its Antwerp gathering will give clinicians and researchers the chance to share evidence, discuss techniques and consider how emerging technology can be applied in practice.

The conference has a clear connection to its host city. Antwerp brings together strengths in health research and digital innovation, while researchers at the University of Antwerp use 3D design and printing to develop equipment for research and clinical use.

Veerle Peeters, Sales Director from Antwerp Convention Bureau, said: “We look forward to welcoming the Digital Dentistry Society to Antwerp. The conference is asking how new technology can improve care in the real world, a question that resonates with the work taking place across our city’s health and digital communities.

“Antwerp also gives delegates a chance to connect beyond the conference room. With the Hilton in the heart of our walkable city centre, they can move easily between the scientific programme, conversations with colleagues and the places that make Antwerp distinctive.”

On 15 October, delegates can take part in pre-conference workshops before the society’s Ambassadors Meeting and a reception at Antwerp City Hall. The conference gala dinner will take place at Grand Café Horta on 16 October, bringing delegates together in one of the city’s Art Nouveau settings.
