£1million of enquiries for Barbican as 2015 begins.

Barbican looks forward to a big year of business events with £1million of enquiries made within the first two weeks of 2015.

The continued growth of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama’s state-of-the-art Milton Court as well as vibrant and inspiring spaces such as the Conservatory and Barbican Hall has seen an increase in business events being held at the Barbican over the past year with the latest enquiries strengthening its position as Europe’s largest combined arts and conference venue.

“The level of enquiries we have received so early on in the year promises an exciting year for everyone associated with the Barbican,” comments Jackie Boughton, Barbican’s Head of Sales. “Whilst we appreciate enquiries don’t always mean confirmed business, it does acknowledge our increased visibility within the industry as an award winning venue. We continue to successfully raise our profile and this has been key to the level of enquiries we have experienced within the first weeks of 2015.”

Unlike many other venues, Barbican, who were awarded AIM Gold in 2014, was specifically built with the dual purpose of holding conferences and arts events presenting a diverse range of art, music, theatre, dance, film and creative learning.
